Maslow? The idea is absurd (or, if it should actually happen, perverse!). But to be able to turn to the counsel of the loving God, the One Who created and sustains human beings—well, there is something truly to delight one’s self in. In the original Hebrew, the verse reads “men of my counsel.” Turning to the Bible is a matter of turning to those inspired men who gave us God’s counsel. It is as if you could consult with Isaiah, David, Paul or John to obtain the inerrant counsel of God. What a difference
